Rabbi Segal is passionate about serving the local community and putting our Jewish values into action through direct service. In our valley, Rabbi Segal is a key leader in service to those who are homeless and in combatting housing insecurity, from organizing community meals with those who are unhoused to organizing drives for needed items for participants in the winter homeless shelter.

Rabbi Segal believes Judaism means nothing if it is not relevant and if it doesn’t help us meet the issues of the day. From learning programs to advocacy to hands-on work, Rabbi Segal brings the timeless values of our tradition to the timely issues of our day.

Rabbi Segal is frequently invited to speak at gatherings and demonstrations for justice. Her presence is as pastoral as it is rousing. She believes that by raising our moral voices, we can create justice and healing.

When tragedy occurs, Rabbi Segal guides the community in the sacred opportunity to deepen relationship within our own community, with interfaith partners, and with the community at large. Rabbi Segal also believes that we can fight antisemitism through community relationship and learning.

Rabbi Segal believes that from the youngest ages, we must teach our children that Judaism calls upon us to heal the world and create Justice. Rabbi Segal has taken many groups to the L’taken Social Justice Seminars in Washington, DC. There, teens are taught to lobby on important policy issues based in Jewish values.
